You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders building strong relationships within the QPS and across Government, non-government agencies and the Queensland community, supporting key QPS projects and initiatives. Your key accountabilities The core capability requirements for this role are: Support the Director, Public Affairs in the development and implementation of external communications strategies, frameworks and policies to positively position the organisation in a complex and rapidly changing environment. Lead, develop and motivate a team of communications and marketing experts/practitioners to deliver external communications, strategies, marketing events and campaigns. Manage the media releases, social media response and marketing campaigns for the QPS. Identify and analyse major/sensitive issues and prepare appropriate responses and strategies. Develop quality performance evaluation methodologies to assess and continuously improve the performance of public affairs, marketing and campaign strategies. Assist with providing specialist advice to the Minister's office, the Commissioner and Executive Leadership Team on media and public affairs issues. Oversee the preparation of external communication products and services for use by QPS executives or the Minister. Manage human and other resources to ensure effective and efficient delivery of media and public affairs services. Work with the Director to establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders from the QPS, government and external organisations.
