The Position REIWA is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Financial Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team. In this role, you’ll support financial operations through month-end processes, general ledger management, reporting, reconciliations, and compliance. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our financial integrity while supporting strategic initiatives that influence WA’s property sector. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you’ll contribute to budgeting, variance analysis, reporting and process improvement. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy, is CPA/CA qualified (or working towards it), and is looking to grow in a purpose-driven organisation The key responsibilities of this position include: Manage and complete month-end processes and journals. Maintain accurate financial records and reconciliations (GL, bank, credit card, training, AP/AR). Support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting including P&L commentary and cash flow. Prepare and lodge BAS, FBT, payroll tax and superannuation obligations. Process payroll and accounts payable. Assist in preparation of financial reports for Council, Executive and Audit. Contribute to annual financial statements and support audit readiness. Assist with debt management, sponsorship billing, and event profitability analysis. Provide backup across finance functions during leave and peak periods. Skills and Experience Ttertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance, and CA/CPA accreditation (or progress toward it) 3 years’ experience in financial accounting or management roles Sound knowledge of month-end and year-end financial processes Experience with reconciliations, BAS, FBT, payroll tax and other compliance tasks High proficiency in Excel and confidence with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking Excellent communication skills and a team-focused attitude This is a great opportunity to join a well-known and reputable WA organisation.
