Bookkeeper / Assistant Accountant – 7 Week Contract Start Date: 5 August 2025 | Partial Remote Work Available We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper or Assistant Accountant for a 7-week contract to assist with day-to-day accounting maintenance across two entities. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously. Some duties may be completed remotely. Location: Perth (with flexibility for part-remote work) Contract Duration: 7 weeks (from 5 August 2025) Systems Used: MYOB and mainframe system “Marango” Key Responsibilities: Daily bank reconciliations for two main accounts Supplier payments via ABA files and online banking Daily cash flow reporting using Excel and mainframe downloads Preparation and lodgement of BAS and PAYG MYOB payroll processing Finance facility lodgement and reporting to the bank (twice monthly) Ideal Candidate: MYOB experience preferred; Xero users with strong capability also considered Proven experience in payroll processing Confident preparing and lodging BAS and PAYG Comfortable working with mainframe systems Strong Excel skills (good to intermediate level) Familiar with managing shared folders on a group hard drive Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage tasks with minimal supervision This is a great opportunity for an experienced candidate who is available for a short-term engagement and can hit the ground running.
