(Pro Rata) ASO2| 22.5 hours per wk. – Contract until Dec 2025 available Dedicated Ward Clerk Wanted for Women's Assessment Service As a Ward Clerk, you'll be the cornerstone of our Women's Assessment Service, ensuring efficient operations and outstanding patient care. Your exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail will shine as you masterfully coordinate admissions, discharges, and maintain immaculate patient records. With your customer service prowess, you'll provide a warm and supportive experience for every patient and family member. About the role: Reporting to the Administration Manager and the Midwifery Unit Manager, some of your duties for the role will include: Filing/scanning results and other required documentation in the patient electronic medical record Answering all incoming telephone calls and dealing with routine patient enquiries – using judgement in conveying appropriate information Facilitating follow up appointments and investigations for patients Acting as a resource and providing general assistance and advice to medical staff regarding administrative requirements and hospital services About you: Previous experience in a teaching hospital or as an administrative officer/medical receptionist (Very Desirable) Experience in using information systems and data entry Ability to apply judgement, initiative and problem solving Excellent customer service skills, including an ability to empathise with patients and relatives Please see the attached Role Description for additional information.
