Contract : 4 months, with potential for extension The Opportunity We’re seeking a Full Stack Developer to join a dynamic project in the telecommunications space, aimed at enhancing network management capabilities. This role offers the chance to work across the full software development lifecycle, contributing to both frontend and backend engineering, and collaborating closely with stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable solutions. The team is contributing to a high-impact initiative that blends technical innovation with real-world operational improvements. What You'll Do Feature Development Build and enhance database components to support event-triggered reporting requirements. Develop and uplift GUI visualisations including dashboards (regional, remote, all-regions, and liveness reporting). Implement reporting functionality including downloadable CSVs and accuracy checks against threshold requirements. Backend Engineering Build monitoring and reporting logic using SQL and Python, including job scheduling. Develop and harden database tables, queries, and backup processes. Optimise performance and ensure separation of proof-of-concept scheduler functions. Governance & Stakeholder Support Conduct requirements gathering and engage stakeholders throughout the development process. Deliver staged working prototypes and maintain comprehensive documentation. Support ongoing GUI and backend updates across project milestones. Integration & Reporting Develop alerting integrations with collaboration or communication platforms. Integrate reporting alerts with event systems such as weather or incident tracking. What You’ll Bring Strong expertise in full stack engineering (frontend and backend). Experience with database design and performance tuning (SQL). Proficiency in Python, particularly for backend job scheduling and reporting logic. SQL databases — design, optimisation, and reporting queries. Python — for backend processing, automation, and data logic. WebGUI frameworks — React, Angular, or similar. Version control systems — e.g., Git. Advanced frontend development skills, especially in dashboard building and data visualisation. Solid understanding of system monitoring and health checks. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with large-scale event monitoring systems. Familiarity with compliance-driven or regulated reporting frameworks. Skills in data engineering and handling large datasets. Integration with collaboration tools for alerting (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Slack). Tools for CSV generation and export. Familiarity with job scheduling frameworks (e.g., Airflow or similar).
