What's the role? We’re looking for a strategic and execution-focused Trade Marketing Manager - Paid & Earned Media to join our high-performing Client Marketing team. Reporting to the Trade Marketing Director - Content, you’ll be responsible for increasing visibility, engagement, adoption, and advocacy for News Corp Australia's people, commercial brands, products and services across the B2B market. You’ll lead the delivery of paid media campaigns and earned PR initiatives, helping to shape and amplify the stories that matter to our clients, agencies, and the broader trade ecosystem. This is a hybrid role, requiring both media buying expertise and strong editorial instincts - someone who can write, pitch, plan and execute with precision and pace. Key Responsibilities Build and manage an annual paid and earned media calendar aligned to client marketing and business prioritiesIdentify opportunities that enhance News Corp Australia’s visibility, commercial influence, and thought leadershipDevelop business cases for key placements and PR initiatives, articulating objectives, audience fit, investment, and ROINegotiate paid media placements and contracts across key digital and social trade environmentEnsure value delivery and strategic alignment from all paid publisher partnershipsPlan, brief, book, and optimise paid campaigns across trade publishers and social platformsBrief creative to Roller, our in-house agency, and manage production timelines across digital formatsDeliver campaigns end-to-end - on time, on brand, and on budgetTrack performance and deliver post-campaign reporting using clear media KPIs (CTR, CPC, engagement, reach etc.)Partner with Corporate Affairs to identify and deliver earned PR opportunitiesBuild strong relationships with trade editorial teams and pitch stories that support our marketing objectivesSecure high-impact editorial placements and track outcomes through media monitoring and sentiment analysisLead collaboration across internal stakeholdersBuild and maintain deep relationships with key trade publication teams – both commercial and editorialRepresent News Corp Australia externally with clarity, professionalism and strategic intent Who are you? You’ll have at least 5 years’ experience in trade marketing, PR, media buying or content marketing, preferably within a media, publishing or agency setting. You’re a natural collaborator, confident communicator, and strategic thinker who isn’t afraid to roll up your sleeves. You bring experience managing campaigns end-to-end - from negotiating with publishers to writing the copy, briefing creative, and tracking performance. You're adept at balancing creative instinct with commercial rigour, and you’re driven by outcomes, not just output. Above all, you take initiative, thrive in complexity, and bring others along with you.
