About the role The Da'Vange Group is seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our team in the northern suburbs of Brisbane. As a Disability Support Worker, you will ensure you are providing personalised care and support to individuals living with disabilities, helping them to achieve their goals and live independent, fulfilling lives. What you'll be doing Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks Providing companionship, emotional support, and engaging in recreational activities with clients Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records Ensuring a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all clients What we're looking for A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and a commitment to promoting their independence and wellbeing Experience in the disability services sector, preferably in a similar role Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with clients and their families A positive, patient, and flexible approach to problem-solving A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation Yellow Card, Blue Card, First Aid and CPR and NDIS Worker Orientation Module Ability to work across a 24/7 roster including sleepovers, weekends and evenings You MUST be available for at least 2 sleepovers per week. Mental health experience is highly regarded. Experience with challenging behaviours is highly regarded Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate IV in Disability is highly regarded.
