We are seeking an Assistant Business Analyst to join our dynamic team in Brisbane. Working in the Finance Business Partnering (FBP) team, you will provide management reporting, analysis and financial modelling to the operations team to ensure optimal financial performance is realised through process and procedural improvements. Supporting the FBP team to deliver against these responsibilities. The role offers variety, career development, mentorship, whilst working with a high performing team. Your Impact Support regular finance processes, including month end procedures, general ledger maintenance, non-financial data integrity and report preparation. Timely completion of all assigned monthly reporting requirements. Perform variance analysis to review business performance and key trends against strategic priorities. Support the Finance Business Partnering Team in identifying opportunities, risks & solutions for the business. Support the annual budget and monthly forecast process. Assist in preparation of commercial analysis for tender pricing & project profitability analysis. Assist in the preparation of various scenario modelling to assist management in business decision making. Assist in both regular and ad-hoc reporting to drive decision making and continuous improvement across the business. Help develop financial & KPI reporting models. Help maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls. Support audit and compliance processes with accurate documentation and analysis. About You You will have minimum 2 years of progressive financial experience and a degree in commerce (or similar) and working towards CA or CPA qualification, desirable. You Will Also Have Strong inter-personal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills. Strong MS excel skills. An interest in reporting systems and reporting tools such as Power BI, desirable. Able to work in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders. Demonstrated initiative and ability to work both independently and within a team towards common goals.
