Our client based in Perth is seeking a Senior Advisor – Quality & Compliance. Your new company Our client requires a Senior Advisor – Quality & Compliance to join their team in a permanent full-time capacity. This position is located south of Perth CBD nearby to public transport and parking. This is a full-time opportunity with the expectation of working 40 hours per week. Reporting to the Manager Risk, Quality and Compliance, the Senior Advisor - Quality and Compliance drives the implementation and continuous improvement of quality and compliance, associated policies, processes and systems across the organisation, ensuring they remain contemporary and fit for purpose. Additionally, the Senior Advisor - Quality and Compliance will provide strategic support and advice for the effective identification, monitoring and management of quality and compliance issues across the organisation, in consultation with senior leaders and functional groups. Your new role The responsibilities of this role will consist of: Lead ongoing enhancement of quality systems across the port, including the design and refinement of processes and controls. Oversee the planning and execution of ISO 9001 Quality Audits and support timely completion of follow-up actions. Collaborate with all organisational areas to identify policy and procedural gaps, and assist in improving or developing associated documentation. Engage with port users and stakeholder groups to drive continuous improvement in port performance and address process non-conformities. Maintain and update the end-to-end operating model, providing guidance on stakeholder responsibilities and operational clarity. Support structured problem-solving initiatives to address critical quality issues. Contribute to the implementation and refinement of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, policies, and systems. Advocate for and embed ERM policies, procedures, and guidelines across the business. Lead the rollout of a control's compliance program and facilitate business-wide compliance activities to support the Line 2 review function. Ensure accurate maintenance of the Significant Legislative Obligations register and embed compliance within core processes. Produce reports for the Board, Audit & Risk Committee, and Executive Leadership Team, including performance dashboards as required. Build strong cross-functional relationships to support the development and implementation of quality and compliance improvement initiatives. What you'll need to succeed Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Engineering, Risk Management, or a related discipline. In-depth knowledge of quality and compliance frameworks and standards, including ISO 19600:2015. Over 10 years’ proven experience in designing and implementing quality and compliance frameworks. Strong skills in organisation, planning, and influence. Strategic mindset with the capability to align risk management with business goals. Demonstrated commercial and business acumen. Solid understanding of quality and compliance within operational environments. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a consultative and collaborative working style across all organisational levels. Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including experience in report writing. Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
