Position: Solutions Architect Location: Perth, WA Salary: $800 - $900 p/d Job Type: Contract (Initial 6-Months) Position Overview: We are searching for an experienced Solutions Architect, with strong application and integration expertise, to join an enterprise-scale organisation working on a major strategic program that will deliver critical system improvements across Western Australia. This role will focus on virtual platform implementation and enterprise integration platform deployment, helping to improve operational efficiency, system reliability, and service delivery across the organisation's technology ecosystem. Roles and Responsibilities: Support project teams to assess, scope and finalise implementation planning for applications, interfaces, and supporting infrastructure Conduct change assessments and impact analysis Support the implementation of a new Enterprise Integration Platform (Mulesoft) Design integration solutions based on business requirements (API-led connectivity, data transformation, and error handling) Define and implement governance models for APIs, ensuring adherence to security, authorisation, and reliability patterns Collaborate with application teams to discuss and agree on preferred design options Document work packages detailing what, when, and how applications will be deployed and integrated Provide guidance and support to implementation and development teams Deliver solution modelling, high-level and low-level solution designs Represent solutions to governance boards Role Requirements: Experience in the leadership of technical teams and coordination of digital solution design and delivery in critical environments Expertise in API design and development, integration architecture, cloud integration, SOAP and REST APIs Experience with the Mulesoft AnyPoint Platform (preferred) Clear oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to negotiate with and influence clients and stakeholders Excellent time management skills with proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver measurable outcomes Experience or familiarity with adjacent disciplines including project management, change management and/or IT Service Management Demonstrated significant skills and experience in Solutions Architecture within enterprise environments Highly developed knowledge of Enterprise and/or Solution Architecture frameworks, processes, methodology tailoring and risk management Professional training and/or certification in industry-recognised Architecture frameworks or methodologies such as TOGAF, Zachman or ArchiMate We appreciate your interest in this opportunity.
