About the Role Due to continued growth and a busy pipeline of civil and mining infrastructure projects, this contractor is seeking an Intermediate–Senior Estimator to join their commercial team. You'll be a key player in developing competitive, first-principles estimates that shape the success of large-scale tenders—working closely with engineering, delivery, and leadership teams to turn opportunities into projects. What You’ll Be Doing Preparing detailed, accurate cost estimates and tender submissions across mining and civil scopes Interpreting drawings, technical specifications, and scopes of work Engaging with suppliers and subcontractors to source and negotiate competitive pricing Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and senior stakeholders to develop practical bid strategies Contributing to value engineering, risk analysis, and final tender presentations What You’ll Bring 4 years' experience as a Civil or Mining Estimator (contractor-side preferred) Strong grounding in first principles estimating and cost planning Proficiency with tools such as Expert Estimation, Candy, or similar Strong commercial insight, technical understanding, and attention to detail Confident communicator who works well in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
