Description About the role As a Civil Engineer, undertakes investigations, analysis and design of civil infrastructure and land development projects in accordance with the direction of the Principal, project brief and fee structure. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow while assisting in the analysis, drafting, and documentation processes, helping to ensure that all projects are completed to the highest standards. Key responsibilities Project Management: Plan, manage, coordinate, track and run assigned projects. Provide technical advice to management, colleagues, contractors and client. Project Operations: Provide regular project reviews and reports to the Principal. Undertake site visits, inspections and provide technical advice relating to construction work on site Check designs, information, drawings and documentation related to assigned projects Collaboration: Work closely with engineering team members to clarify drafting and/or documentation issues throughout the design, documentation and construction phases. Design Management: Provide engineering services which are fit for purpose, practical, cost effective and comply with relevant design and regulatory standards. Manage the design, verify and validate outputs in accordance with quality procedures. Oversee the preparation of specifications, bills of quantities, pre-tender estimates and contract documents. Team Membership: Support a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the Civil Engineering team. Governance: Work in accordance with the Business Management System (BMS) and adhere to all Indesco QA, policies and procedures. Strong all-round engineering design skills including stormwater drainage, WSUD, grading, roads, site works and bulk earthworks grading, services infrastructure and coordination. A strong working knowledge with a range of civil design software packages including 12d, AutoCAD, Drains, HEC-RAS, MUSIC. Knowledge of WHS Acts/Legislation and Environment Legislation desirable. Exhibits a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Possesses strong analytical abilities, demonstrating proficiency in identifying and solving engineering problems. Communicates effectively and professionally, fostering strong relationships within project teams and with stakeholders Qualifications University/Tertiary degree or Equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia Eligible for membership of Engineers Australia with the aim to work towards CPEng
