Job Description About the role Join us as a conductor of Australia’s busiest airport, and one of Australia’s most important infrastructure assets! In this pivotal role, you'll help orchestrate the seamless flow of activity within our bustling International and Domestic Terminals, ensuring the optimal utilisation of terminal assets, including all aircraft parking. What you’ll be doing Working within Sydney Airport’s Integrated Operation Centre (IOC) you will be part of a high performing on-shift team that ensures every passenger that arrives at Sydney’s Airport has an exceptional journey. This is done through the safe and efficient allocation and coordination of the Airport’s infrastructure, facilities and resources. During your shift, you will be reporting to the Airport Duty Manager (Operations Control) where you will negotiate with key airport stakeholders to ensure that the best operational solutions are achieved when allocating resources during normal and off schedule operations. You’ll ensure our Flight Information Display System is accurately maintained with timely operational information for all the airport’s stakeholders, passengers and visitors especially during times of operational disruption (e.g. severe weather, system failures, security threats, incidents and accidents) What you’ll bring Our ideal candidate possesses a passion for precision and a commitment to ensuring the highest level of safety and service for all travellers. You’ll have experience in operational scheduling, developed through a minimum of five years in roles such as flight scheduling, operational planning, or operational scheduling. You’ll thrive in complex and dynamic 24/7 operational shift environments with high pressure and competing priorities, where no two shifts are the same. You have a positive attitude and a strong customer focus. You are a team player with effective communication skills and the ability to negotiate and influence, cross-functionally (internally and externally). You have demonstrated problem-solving skills and a continual performance and process improvement mindset.
