Company & Job: An innovative engineering company, experts in their industry. Position would Skilled mechanical fitter/technician/boilermaker required to work on a variety of projects. Key Responsibilities Installation, commissioning & servicing of machinery. Fault finding, diagnostics, mechanical assembly & repairs. Welding, machining, turning, and milling of components. Hydraulics: modifying, fabricating & rebuilding systems. Electrical work: basic board wiring, multimeter testing (not essential unless Elec Fitter). Reading & creating pneumatic, hydraulic & mechanical plans. Customer training and post-install support. Local & interstate travel (away from work involved). What You’ll Need Trade-qualified or proven hands-on experience. Confident across mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems. PLC programming & troubleshooting would be advantageous. On-the-job learning of mechanical & electrical components that make up the machinery ( small to medium parts and components like rollers, conveyor chains, traction wheels, chutes, chassis, seals, brackets, electrical control cabinets, commissioning & more). Comfortable using power tools, hand tools. Willing to travel. Proactive, team-focused, and able to work independently. Strong documentation and communication skills. Australian working rights.
