Business Analytics Engagement Manager | Contract to Dec 2025 | Macquarie Park Macquarie Park, Sydney $950–$1150/day super | 40 hrs/week Contract to 24/12/2025 | Start ASAP pending checks A NSW Government department is seeking an experienced Business Analytics Engagement Manager to act as a strategic relationship manager between stakeholders and the data & analytics team. This is not a data or technical role - it’s about understanding needs, navigating complexity, and joining the dots to solve meaningful problems with smart, scalable data-driven solutions. You’ll work across a dynamic and fast-moving analytics landscape that touches multiple parts of government, research institutions, universities, and contractors. Your role is to uncover pain points, understand what stakeholders really need, and bring together the right capabilities across business intelligence, data analytics, and AI teams to create impact. Key Responsibilities: Be the first point of contact between stakeholders and the analytics team, supporting engagement across internal teams, councils, external agencies, and research bodies. Develop and maintain strong relationships to gather intel, identify problems, and bring forward creative opportunities that spark new projects. Facilitate discovery sessions, translate needs into deliverables, and embed them into workflow pipelines with the relevant technical teams. Scope and shape engagement pathways, both internal and external, to improve how the organisation responds to stakeholder needs. Co-develop business cases and support prioritisation of work aligned to strategic outcomes. Advocate for better, faster, and more meaningful collaboration between the department and its stakeholders - solving problems before they escalate. About You: You’re a natural relationship builder with experience navigating large, complex or bureaucratic organisations. You have strong stakeholder engagement experience - ideally in a planning, strategy, transformation or service design role. You can hold a conversation about data, understand foundational concepts, and connect problems to the right capability. You’re curious, creative, and able to see opportunities others miss. Experience in government is welcome, but not required - more important is your ability to join the dots and build bridges between teams. Please note, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
