As we scale and evolve our architecture, we’re looking for a seasoned Solution Architect to help guide technical strategy and delivery across our platform. Position Overview: We’re seeking a hands-on Solution Architect contractor with strong experience in event-driven architectures, distributed systems, and scalable cloud deployments. The ideal candidate will work closely with product and engineering teams to design and guide the implementation of robust, scalable, and performant SaaS solutions using technologies like Kafka, Solr, PostgreSQL, and modern cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure). Key Responsibilities: Define and drive the architectural vision for new and existing SaaS features and services. Design scalable and fault-tolerant systems leveraging Apache Kafka for event streaming, Solr for search/indexing, and PostgreSQL as the primary data store. Collaborate with development teams to ensure architectural integrity and proper implementation of designs. Lead the evaluation and integration of new technologies, frameworks, and design patterns. Provide guidance on cloud deployment strategies, including infrastructure as code, container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines. Create technical architecture documentation, diagrams, and decision logs. Conduct design and code reviews, mentoring engineering teams to align with best practices. Work cross-functionally with DevOps, security, data, and QA teams to ensure solution integrity. Required Skills & Experience: 8 years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years in a Solution Architect role. Experience with multi-tenant and micro-services based solutions Knowledge of Kafka, Solr, Postgres Knowledge of cloud-deployment solutions like K8s, K3s, Rancher, Terraform Experience with Keyclock and Kong Experience or knowledge of Java, Angular and Ionic would be advantageous Proven experience designing and delivering cloud-native SaaS platforms. Deep expertise with Apache Kafka in production environments, including topics, partitions, consumers, and stream processing. Knowledge of Solr including indexing strategies, scaling, and query optimization. Solid experience with PostgreSQL including schema design, optimization, and replication. Familiarity with one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure); AWS preferred. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. Understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and event-driven patterns. Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. Please apply today for immediate consideration.
