The Opportunity We are seeking a motivated Communications Trainee to undertake a Certificate IV in Telecommunications Engineering Technology, then on successful completion you will undertake an Advanced Diploma of Industrial Data Communication, Networking and IT. This will run over a 4 year program which will enable you to obtain industry skills and knowledge under the supervision of qualified and experienced professionals, while also attending TAFE to complete your certification. The location for this traineeship will be based at Broadmeadows however much of your time will be spent out in the field. During the program, you will be a valued member of our team and will participate in workplace and worksite rotations, experiencing a variety of work environments within the electricity supply industry which will enhance your skills and career development opportunities. What You’ll Be Doing Providing appropriate and timely technical advice on matters relating to field SCADA, communications and control systems Liaising and coordinating infrastructure system changes with key internal / external parties as required Supporting the delivery of major and minor capital works and maintenance programs as determined by the business Support the Jemena Group to deliver communications assets throughout Victoria as required What We’re Looking For This is an exciting time for our industry and we would love to be able to share this journey with someone who is committed and eager to learn. When you complete the program successfully, you will have completed all competencies for an Advanced Diploma of Industrial Data Communication, Networking and IT.
