The key duties of the position include The Role The Aviation C4ISREW Training and Support Systems (ACTSS) team, within UHSPO, is responsible for the management, delivery and support of a range of common products and systems across multiple Army aircraft types. The Products and Services are managed in 3 main areas: Aviation Mission Systems, Armament; Life and Ground Support (ALGS); and Training Systems. We are looking for dynamic and motivated person to join our team with a focus on sustaining the Aviation Mission System (AMS). The APS 6 Integrated Logistics Support Officer, will be accountable for a variety of activities including but not limited to: Provide primary logistics acquisition and sustainment support to the AMS product team and end user; Conduct procurements and ensure DMFP is considered and reviewed throughout the reporting phases; Conduct periodic reviews of extant AMS support contracts to ensure appropriate logistics coverage in relation to sparing, repairs and warranties; Assist in developing and maintaining an AMS Integrated Logistics Support Plan; Liaise with Defence Logistics Managers to ensure demands for common items are fulfilled IAW policy / process time frames; Conduct regular reviews of the AMS supply chain to identify/implement further efficiencies; Identify and monitor Key Performance Indicators to track the supply chain health of the AMS; Manage AMS Freight requirements, including safe-hand for sensitive items; Support the ACTSS Disposal Manager in the disposal of AMS equipment; Generate responses to complex correspondence, briefs and reports for higher delegate consideration; Demonstrate knowledge of current Defence materiel logistics policies and apply this in the support of sustainment and acquisition activities; Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders at the operational and business unit level; Work collaboratively with stakeholders and subject matter experts to resolve materiel logistics issues; Resolve problems using expertise, taking the initiative to identify alternative courses of actions; Support other functional areas within ACTSS when required. About our Team The Army Aviation Systems Branch (AASB) purpose is to deliver military aviation systems to the capability managers. AASB is responsible for the acquisition and through-life support of all Army helicopters and tactical unmanned aerial systems through both Project Offices (PO) and Systems Program Offices (SPO) within Australia and overseas.
