We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our client’s Infrastructure and Security team. This role is focused on assisting with the initiation, scoping, comparison, design and delivery phases of several critical infrastructure projects either already underway or scheduled for the current calendar year. This role will be supported by CT’s solution architects for any solution design work and by the client’s internal IT Team and IT Project Manager. While project implementation will often be managed by external vendors via work orders, some technical change and implementation work may be required from this role. This is a hands-on position that would suit a technically strong infrastructure professional who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys shaping foundational IT projects. Requirements What You'll Do: Phone System Replacement: Review the current Cisco-based telephony platform and support the client to assess alternative solutions and deliver the chosen solution. Direct Access Replacement: Review current remote access technology and propose a modern, secure replacement strategy. Print Services Review: Provide a scoped review of the existing printer fleet and propose improvements or consolidation opportunities. Identity Management: Support the delivery of an IDAM project already inflight. What You'll Bring: Proven experience in infrastructure solution design and project consultation. Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft Intune, and networking technologies. Familiarity with Cisco/Meraki networks, Fortinet security products, and Nutanix (desirable). Previous experience working within schools or education environments (preferred). Excellent documentation, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and a commitment to meeting tight deadlines. Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment to prioritise accordingly. Strong interpersonal skills, intellectual rigour and curiosity, and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
