As an AI Analyst , you will play a vital role in how artificial intelligence is used across the department to support strategic goals, ethical practices and community-first outcomes. You’ll analyse data and AI systems, advise on responsible AI usage and collaborate across teams to ensure technologies are used safely, accurately and to their fullest potential. What you’ll do: Dive deep into current AI systems to evaluate their effectiveness, governance and alignment with ethical standards; Work closely with the AI Governance Lead and technical teams to identify AI opportunities and mitigate risks; Help shape our AI strategy through stakeholder engagement, risk assessments and data quality assurance; and Contribute to a culture of responsible AI through ongoing education, insights and reporting. What you bring: A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related discipline (advanced qualifications highly regarded); At least 2 years' hands-on experience in AI/ML analysis, tools and technologies; Proven understanding of ethical frameworks, privacy laws (e.g., Information Privacy Act 2009 QLD) and AI governance; and Strong data analysis and visualisation skills and a passion for responsible tech use.
