About the opportunity This is a newly created leadership position overseeing operations and strategic execution. Reporting to the Executive Office (EO), the role drives organisational effectiveness, stakeholder engagement and program delivery aligned with long-term objectives. The senior executives, who have been with the organisation for over 10 years, bring continuity and deep knowledge to support the transition and success of this role. In this role, you will: Deliver regulatory and governance compliance under ORIC and CATSI Act Drive social outcomes through mentoring, training and Indigenous employment Implement business development strategies with cultural and financial impact Lead and develop cross-functional teams across multiple locations Oversee day-to-day operations, projects, budgeting, and program execution You will manage five direct reports, with plans to expand, and will shape strategic direction alongside the EO. A key focus will be guiding the corporation through its growth while embedding Indigenous values and maintaining service delivery standards. You’ll be responsible for identifying opportunities to support the Ngarlawangga community, leading negotiations with external stakeholders, and contributing to the growth of both the organisation and its members. About you You will bring senior leadership experience in operational and strategic management, ideally within Indigenous or community-based organisations. You are proactive, resilient, and culturally inclusive. To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: Senior leadership and operational experience across diverse teams Experience with strategic planning, governance and stakeholder engagement Financial acumen, program, and risk management Proven ability to mentor and develop staff in dynamic environments Current driver’s licence and police clearance (or ability to obtain) Willingness to learn 4WD and undertake first aid training Experience with KPOs relating to regulatory compliance, social outcomes, and business growth What’s on offer This is a long-term career opportunity to lead an organisation committed to cultural integrity and community advancement.
