Fellow - Cardiology Echocardiography - 2026 Join to apply for the Fellow - Cardiology Echocardiography - 2026 role at Alfred Health . Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research, and education. We are the main provider of health services to the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, offering ambulatory, inpatient, and community-based services. This is a one-year fellowship (81 hours per fortnight) in Echocardiography. Applicants must have completed at least three years of Advanced Training in Clinical Cardiology and hold FRACP (Part 2) or a recognized equivalent. This position offers training in all aspects of echocardiography, including transthoracic, stress, transoesophageal echocardiography, and support within interventional, structural, and electrophysiology laboratories. The Alfred is a quaternary referral center providing statewide services in Heart Transplantation and MCS. Responsibilities include supervising junior staff, managing duties, and coordinating the echocardiography laboratory's daily operations. The fellowship aims to provide comprehensive exposure and experience to develop necessary skills and knowledge, aligning with specialist training requirements. Opportunities include participation in the busy structural heart program, involvement in mitral and tricuspid TEER cases, and potential experience in cardiac CT or CMR, depending on operational needs. Research opportunities are also available with an experienced imaging research team.
