The Revenue Audit Officer supports the Revenue team with ensuring that levels of accuracy related to customer transactions and customer profiles are maintained, by reviewing customer accounts where required. The primary focus of the Revenue Audit Officer is to ensure discrepancies in customer details and transaction records are identified, reported and corrected in a timely manner, so that Bolton Clarke’s transition to a new resident management system, including but not limited to data migration, can be completed with high quality and within agreed timeframe. Accountabilities: General Audit all historical resident data relevant to current resident billing and subsidy reconciliation as well as data migration to new resident management system Assist the Revenue team with other duties as identified Resident Transaction Auditing Audit historical resident transaction records, with means tested care fee in particular Identify discrepancies between Medicare Payment Statement and Resident Billing Records Liaise with the Department of Services Australia to resolve disputes between Bolton Clarke and Medicare Payment Team Assist or liaise with Revenue Officers and Revenue Compliance Officers to adjust billing Resident Details Auditing Audit historical resident details in the system against residential agreements to Identify discrepancies, invalid information or errors in previous data entry Obtain up-to-date details in accordance with Aged Care legislation related to privacy terms and legal representatives Liaise with home administrators, general managers, residents and their power of attorney to ensure resident billing is delivered Debtor Aging Audits Manage resident receipting as part of bank reconciliation Ensure allocation of resident payment to correct accounts Maintain debtor aging report to identify and resolve any discrepancies in payment settlement or aging breakdown Reporting Monitor and keep track of audit progress for different areas Generate review/audit reports for Revenue Manager Records Management and Documentation Record and provide explanations for any adjustments to resident accounts Manage and maintain documentation related to internal and external communications related to any adjustments in resident accounts Assist or liaise with Qualifications Required Relevant tertiary qualifications or studying accounting is mandatory Experience / Knowledge Required Min 1 years’ experience in a similar role Demonstrated knowledge pertaining to Aged Care legislation related to resident billing and subsidy Demonstrated experience in an Administrative capacity Excellent computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel) Highly organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks High attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies Alibility to work autonomously to complete tasks as allocated Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times Ability to work as part of a team to support, coach and educate as required Benefits Salary sacrificing / packaging options Flexible working environments Competitive salary Opportunity for career progression & development A range of employee benefits & discounts Employee Assistance Program Enjoy being close to public transport and lots of great cafes.
