The Role Are you an experienced Mining Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? We're currently seeking a Senior Mining Engineer to join a site-based technical services team in a pivotal planning role focused on mid to short-term scheduling. Reporting directly to the Principal Mining Engineer, this position is ideal for someone ready to drive operational planning outcomes and contributing to a high-performing team environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver detailed mid and short-term mine plans in line with long-term strategy. Prepare accurate weekly and daily production schedules. Work collaboratively with geology, survey, and operations to ensure effective plan execution. Identify planning constraints and propose solutions to optimize production. Support continuous improvement through data-driven insights and process refinement. Participate in planning meetings and clearly communicate scheduling changes. Provide mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to team development. Maintain and promote high standards in safety and environmental compliance. About You: Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related. Minimum 6 years’ experience in open-pit mining, preferably gold. Strong technical experience in mid to short-term mine planning and scheduling. Proficiency in mining design and planning software Strong communication and coordination skills across departments. Proven ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities. Valid Australian work rights and a current manual driver’s licence.
