About The Role We are seeking a skilled individual to contribute to our school-based support team. As a senior member of these teams, you'll provide evidence-based counselling interventions for children from prep through to Year 12 with mild to moderate mental health concerns. The students you'll be working with will be varied in presentation but may benefit from interventions to support them in developing emotional literacy skills, improving distress tolerance, managing their mood and supporting their interpersonal relationships. A knowledge of various counselling interventions will be necessary in this role. Additionally, you will be expected to deliver broader social, emotional and wellbeing services across schools via group work, whole year psychoeduation and whole of school wellbeing strategies. A key aspect to your success will be your capacity to work with school staff and families to assist them in their understanding of the needs of students. Working collaboratively with key community organisations to link students and families to services will ensure holistic supports are provided. As a Senior in the team, you would bring a high level of technical expertise to the social work role and delivery of services in your schools, and a desire to mentor and support the development of other social workers in the team. Your role will not only enhance educational outcomes but also shape the future prospects of our students. You will collaborate with a dynamic support team and receive clinical and technical guidance from our regional wellbeing supervisors. About You We are looking for candidates who: Thrive in a role with a varied caseload, particularly therapeutic interventions for mental health concerns.Bring experience in a similar role, with a background in working with young people considered a strong advantage.Are highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of working both autonomously and as part of a team.
