As our WA based Wind Generation SME you’ll be a vital part of the Power Generation team who are working to ensure client wind projects are delivered with confidence and the commitment of the Aurecon team. Your role will include: Provide expert technical input across all phases of wind farm projects, from feasibility studies and concept design to construction and commissioning. Act as the Owner’s Engineer technical lead, reviewing wind turbine supplier designs, balance of plant (BoP) engineering, and project performance models. Develop and review key project documents including technical specifications, tender evaluations, design risk assessments, and grid connection studies. Engage on and / technically review wind farm design and layouts including wind turbine siting and road and electrical layout, working closely with environment and planning team members. Support clients through technical due diligence, design reviews, construction monitoring, and commissioning verification activities. Stay up to date with evolving wind turbine technologies, industry best practices, and regulatory frameworks to deliver high-value client outcomes. What are we looking for from you? To apply you will have experience in similar roles, and will specifically bring: Experience delivering technical support or Owner’s Engineer services for onshore or offshore wind farm projects, covering design, procurement, and construction phases. Strong understanding of wind turbine technology, wind farm electrical systems, civil/structural interfaces, and grid connection requirements. Aurecon is looking for experts in MV and HV electrical design, or renewable energy but will also consider backgrounds in mechanical or civil engineering with a proven track record in technical leadership roles. Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC, ISO) and regulatory requirements for wind energy projects, including health, safety, and environmental considerations. Think you know Aurecon?
