About the role We are recruiting a Specialist Data Products to play a pivotal role in defining and delivering data products, establishing data product catalogs, and implementing data management and governance best practices across our data ecosystem in Iron Ore. Working closely with process owners and digital product development teams, the role will be instrumental in accelerating the delivering of data products to support strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a background in data engineering or technical data analysis, combined with business analysis and project delivery experience. You’ll be part of a dedicated team, supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team and the broader RTIO Digital division. Reporting to the Principal Data Products, the role will see you: Lead the design, development, and implementation of data products that support business needs, ensuring data products are scalable, reliable, and meet quality standards. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into data requirements. Ensure that data solutions align with business objectives. Conduct in-depth data analysis across systems to identify gaps, patterns, and insights that inform data product design and requirements. Lead and manage data products delivery from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals. Manage project timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations. Lead the implementation of data catalogs and establish data governance best practices to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment and successful delivery of data products. Act as a liaison between technical teams and business unit Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to automate enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities. Provide guidance and training to junior analysts and other team members to build data literacy and analytical skills within the organization. What You'll Bring: Hands on experience in data engineering, data analysis, and exposure to data modeling and warehousing concepts and tools. Proficiency in SQL, as well as relevant cloud certification. Experience working with Databricks, data catalogs, data lineage tooling and other data governance tools is highly desirable Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights. Solid understanding of business processes and strategies, with the ability to align data analysis with business objectives. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Proven experience in managing data projects, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. It Would Also Be Beneficial If You Have: Proficiency in Python, Pyspark.
