The Management Committee consists of owners, operators and managers of early learning services who have extensive knowledge and experience in the fields of early childhood, education and training, and management. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in managing day-to-day financial transactions. Your responsibilities will include maintaining up-to-date financial records handling all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and assisting in preparing reports. You will also be involved in the preparation and management of annual budgets, monitoring and managing debt, and responding promptly and accurately to financial queries. To excel in this role, you should possess a Certificate IV or higher in Accounting or Bookkeeping or relevant experience (minimum of 12 months) in accounts payable/receivable. A strong understanding of Australian accounting standards is essential, and familiarity with the non-profit sector will be an advantage. Your skills should include strong attention to detail and accuracy, high levels of organization, excellent communication abilities, and problem-solving prowess. This position reports directly to the Accountant, providing you with the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals and gain valuable insights into financial management within the non-profit sector.
