Description About the role We are looking for an exceptional Accountant to join our vibrant Finance team, focusing on shopping centre funds and natural capital accounting, tax, and reporting. In this key role, you will play a crucial part in assisting the Real Estate team with the preparation and analysis of fund statutory financial statements and management reports. You will also be responsible for the management and oversight of outsourced investment accounting services, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Calculate and report fund NAVs for unit pricing and deliver accurate, insightful management financial statements. Prepare high-quality statutory financials and balance sheet reconciliations across a range of funds and investment structures. Drive property trust tax compliance by preparing tax workpapers and supporting timely, accurate filings. Account for acquisitions and disposals, assist with year-end audits, and manage monthly BAS lodgements. Manage daily cash transactions, ensure interest payments are on schedule, and monitor compliance with bank debt covenants. Review and validate outputs from external service providers and resolve accounting queries with confidence and clarity. About You: You will be a highly motivated, proactive, and results-driven professional who thrives in a positive, team-oriented environment. Your skills and experience will likely align to the below. Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or equivalent and CA or CPA qualified. Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, statutory financial reporting, management reports, and tax compliance. Experience in fund accounting, with exposure to real estate investment funds. High standard of accuracy and attention to detail with strong verbal and written skills. Intermediate Microsoft Excel and financial modelling skills. Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
