Job Purpose As a Finance Executive/Accountant, this position plays a key role in supporting all the accounting functions for the property development business of Sime Darby Property (SDP) Australia. Responsibilities: Management Reporting: Prepare timely management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheet, group consolidation reporting to the group Audit Coordination: Assist in the annual internal and external audit process Internal Controls: Supporting and adhering to internal control systems to ensure precise financial record-keeping Cross-Department Support: Collaborate with various departments on accounting and financial matters Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a regular liaison with banks, auditors, tax agents, and other regulatory bodies such as ATO, SRO, Council etc Financial Reporting: Preparation of the month end/year end closing, project accounting, financial reporting, reconciliation and managing accounts payable and receivable. Cash Flow Forecast: Assist in operational cash flow forecast and management Banking: Managing the bank accounts and reconciliations Accounts Payable Management: Manage the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. Equity/Debt Raising Support: Provide support for equity and debt raising initiatives for projects Compliance Management: Preparation of tax work paper and analysis for income tax and other statutory reporting purposes, GST/BAS returns Budget Monitoring: Assist with budgeting for corporate and project budgets, including variance analysis. Others: Other ad hoc related duties when required Assist the Finance Manager in all the accounting functions for the property development business of SDP Australia Accountable for the accuracy and timely financial reporting and compliance Requirements 3 years accounting experience, preferably in property development industry Strong understanding of financing accounting concepts and tax compliance High degree of attention to detail and accuracy Good time management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders Proactive with a strong sense of initiative Ability to work independently and as a team Takes ownership of the numbers, reports and analysis Unrestricted working rights to work and live in Australia
