About the Role BDO’s Deal Advisory team is a large full-service corporate finance team, with a focus on the mid-market. The team provides a broad range of corporate finance services including: Valuations of business, shares, options and assets (including intangible assets) Mergers and acquisitions lead advisory Business sale advice Due diligence (buy-side and sell-side) Investigating accountant’s reports Integration and separation assistance Financial modeling Independent expert reports Litigation support Strategic advice About the role With a focus on the mid-market, the team provides a broad range of Corporate Finance services to many clients across an array of industries. As a Senior Analyst you will have the opportunity to be involved in valuations (infrastructure assets, accounting, tax and other regulatory valuations, derivatives etc.), due diligence assignments (acquisition and vendor due diligence, other vendor assistance) and a variety of other corporate finance engagements. The duties of the role include: Review and interpret financial statements to determine business operations, drivers and performance indicators. Compile industry research. Construct, review and amend financial models. Apply valuation methodologies including discounted cash flow, capitalised maintainable earnings and option pricing models. Preparing financial data books, populating and maintaining data rooms. Communicating with clients and other transaction advisors to progress engagements; Engage with and learn from a dedicated and supportive team and leverage the wider BDO network to grow your career About you Min 3 years’ experience in a professional services firm (in an area such as corporate finance). Audit (CA or CPA qualified) and/or financial modelling background considered advantageous. Strong written and verbal communication skills that enable results to be communicated concisely. Solid analytical and research skills. Strong work ethic, interpersonal skills, and passion for adding value.
