About the Company: Our client is a leading Australian organisation based in Parramatta, currently seeking an experienced Reconciliations Officer to join their finance team on an initial 6-month temporary contract. With the opportunity to genuinely transition into a permanent position, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys analysing financial data, investigating discrepancies and improving account accuracy within a collaborative environment. The Responsibilities: Reporting into the AR Team Leader, your responsibilities will include: Reconciling customer accounts against claims and customer payments Investigating discrepancies and identifying the root cause of unmatched transactions Analysing large volumes of financial data to ensure account integrity Performing daily, weekly and monthly account reconciliations Working closely with internal teams to resolve payment and reconciliation queries Preparing reconciliation reports and highlighting outstanding items for follow-up Using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyse large datasets Supporting process improvement initiatives and assisting with ad-hoc finance projects The Successful Applicant: Previous experience in account reconciliations, banking, Accounts Receivable or a similar finance role Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and reconcile complex financial information Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP and data analysis Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to investigations High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy Ability to work autonomously while managing competing priorities Strong written and verbal communication skills Note: Please apply even if you do not meet all the requirements above but have relevant experience.
