Restaurant 317 is an award-winning Mediterranean and Italian restaurant located in Parramatta, NSW. Due to continued business growth and increasing customer demand, we are seeking an experienced, motivated, and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. Position: Chef Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Location: Parramatta NSW Working Hours: 38 hours per week Salary: $75,000- $85,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience. Requirements: • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, Diploma of Hospitality Management, or equivalent qualification. • Minimum 3 years of relevant full-time work experience as a Chef. • Strong knowledge of Mediterranean and Italian cuisine. • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • Strong organisational and time management abilities. • Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and WHS requirements. • Ability to supervise and train kitchen staff. • High attention to detail and commitment to food quality. Key Responsibilities: ·Preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality meals in accordance with Restaurant 317's menu standards. ·Assisting in menu planning and development, including introducing new dishes and seasonal menu items. ·Preparing a variety of Mediterranean and Italian dishes including pizzas, pastas, seafood, grilled meats, and specialty dietary meals. ·Monitoring food preparation processes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards. · Supervising kitchen operations and providing guidance to cooks and kitchen hands. · Training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, kitchen procedures, and food safety practices. · Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering, receiving, and storage of food supplies. · Implementing stock rotation procedures and minimising food wastage. · Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and workplace health and safety requirements. · Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. · Collaborating with management and front-of-house staff to ensure excellent customer satisfaction. · Assisting with catering and function service requirements when required.
