Working part time (15.2 hours per week) the Finance Officer is responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services across SASS and for supporting key finance functions across the organisation. The role contributes to accounts payable and receivable, month-end accruals, financial reporting and funding acquittals. Certificate 4 in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Payroll Administration Minimum 2 years' experience working in an accounting position Minimum 2 years' experience processing payroll Data entry skills using a variety of methods, or the ability to acquire these skills Ability to use or quickly learn, a range of software and web-based products such as Xero and ELMO Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel Ability to demonstrate empathy and patience with a diverse range of people Good written and oral communication skills Good attention to detail and systematic follow up Well organised with good time management skills Ability to be adaptable and reprioritise work at short notice to achieve outcomes A National Police Check Working With Children Registration Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary finance principles and practices Experience completing end to end payroll functions, meeting legislative requirements Well-developed data entry, data analysis and computing skills Strong organisational and time management skills, with an eye for detail Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well within a small team
