We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Project Supervisor to join our growing team. The Role: The Project Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision, coordination, and delivery of civil construction and earthworks projects across the Darwin region and surrounding Northern Territory areas. The role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards while leading site personnel, subcontractors, and plant resources. The Project Supervisor acts as the primary on-site leader, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, workplace health and safety legislation, environmental obligations, and company procedures. This role suits someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, has good communication skills and the drive to succeed. This position is not available as FIFO. Applicants must reside in the Northern Territory. No relocation assistance is available. Key Responsibilities Project Delivery Supervise and coordinate civil earthworks projects from commencement through to completion. Monitor project progress against schedules and milestones. Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and contract requirements. Coordinate employees, rostering, plant, materials, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives. Identify and resolve site issues that may impact productivity, quality, safety, or cost. Assist in planning and sequencing construction activities. Site Supervision Lead and direct operators, labourers, truck drivers, and subcontractors. Conduct daily pre-start meetings and toolbox talks. Monitor workforce productivity and performance. Maintain accurate site records including all required HSE and project documentation Verify completed quantities and support project claims and reporting. Safety & Compliance Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all project sites. Ensure compliance with NT Work Health and Safety legislation and company safety systems. Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations. Ensure all workers hold appropriate licences, tickets, and inductions. Monitor environmental controls and compliance requirements. Quality Assurance Ensure works meet project specifications, tolerances, and quality standards. Coordinate inspections, testing, and quality documentation. Identify and rectify defects or non-conformances. Maintain project records and quality assurance documentation. Stakeholder Management Liaise with clients, consultants, local authorities, and utility providers. Maintain professional relationships with project stakeholders. Attend project meetings and provide updates on project performance. Represent the company in a professional manner at all times. Financial & Resource Management Monitor project costs and productivity. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures. Manage plant and equipment utilisation to maximise efficiency. Identify opportunities for improved project performance and cost savings. Assist with procurement and subcontractor coordination. Required Qualifications & Experience All candidates will be required to pass a employment medical assessments, and regular drug and alcohol screening. Proven experience in civil construction and earthworks. Proven experience supervising bulk earthworks, roadworks, drainage, subdivisions, or infrastructure projects. White Card. Driver's Licence (minimum C Class). First Aid Certificate. Certificate IV in Civil Construction Supervision or equivalent (Desirable) Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and civil construction practices. Experience managing subcontractors and multiple work crews. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and project reporting systems. Traffic Management qualifications or experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and quality focus.
