Senior Control Systems EngineerPerth, WA | Up to $180,000 Super We're partnering with a leading automation engineering company that is continuing to grow its Perth operations and is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Control Systems Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled engineering team delivering complex automation and control systems projects across the mining, industrial and process sectors. You'll play a key role in the full project lifecycle, from design and programming through to commissioning, while mentoring junior engineers and working directly with clients to deliver high-quality solutions. The RoleAs a Senior Control Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for:Designing, developing and configuring PLC, SCADA and HMI control systems.Delivering projects from concept, design and implementation through to testing and commissioning.Providing technical support and troubleshooting complex automation and control system issues.Developing functional specifications, I/O lists, test procedures and technical documentation.Conducting factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT) and client demonstrations.Supporting instrumentation and electrical design activities.Carrying out root cause analysis and identifying opportunities to improve plant performance and reliability.Working closely with clients, contractors and internal engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.Mentoring and supporting junior Control Systems Engineers. About YouTo be successful, you'll have:Previous experience in a Senior or Lead Control Systems Engineering role.A degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Process or Computer Science Engineering.Strong experience with PLC, SCADA and HMI programming.Proven experience delivering industrial automation projects from design through to commissioning.Knowledge of instrumentation, electrical systems and industrial communication networks.The ability to interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics and control system documentation.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Experience within mining, industrial, manufacturing or process industries.
