In line with our 2040 Community Strategic Plan, City of Newcastle is seeking an experienced Strategic Planner to join our Strategic Planning Team within the Planning and Development Service Unit. In this role, you will use your expertise to prepare specialist strategic land use and development policy advice, support the development and management of land use planning strategies, and contribute to key Council strategic policy documents. You will also work closely with internal and external stakeholders to build understanding and support for strategies across City of Newcastle and the broader community. As part of the Strategic Planning Team, you will help shape holistic, city-wide and place-specific land use policy and planning outcomes that align with our Community Strategic Plan and support Newcastle’s future growth.
