Since 1977, they have delivered crisis and transitional accommodation, outreach support, early intervention and prevention programs, alongside integrated case management to help clients access safe housing and wraparound supports. About the opportunity The Core and Cluster model is a contemporary approach to supporting women and children experiencing domestic and family violence, combining independent, self-contained accommodation (“the cluster”) with a central hub (“the core”) that provides access to wraparound supports such as case management, counselling and community services. As Team Leader, you will lead the Core and Cluster Interim Program, supporting the establishment of the service, framework and governance while overseeing day-to-day program delivery. This is a specialist DFV-focused leadership role, grounded in trauma-informed, safety-led and person-centred practice. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a new service from the ground up, with the potential to support future growth as the program evolves. Key responsibilities include: Lead the delivery, governance and continuous improvement of the Core and Cluster Interim Program. Oversee day-to-day operations while mentoring and supporting a small team of Specialist Caseworkers. Provide expert guidance on complex, high-risk cases, including safety planning, risk assessment and reflective practice. Manage a small caseload of complex clients, ensuring trauma-informed, culturally safe and person-centred support. Build and maintain strong partnerships with DCJ, Specialist Homelessness Services, housing, mental health, AOD and community stakeholders. Drive program quality through case reviews, compliance, reporting, CIMS documentation, audits and accreditation activities. You are passionate about supporting women and children, confident managing complex situations, and thrive in environments where you can lead, influence and build strong community partnerships. In addition, you will bring: Demonstrated leadership experience within domestic and family violence, homelessness, community services or a related human services environment. Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop high-performing casework teams in complex service settings. Strong understanding of trauma-informed, strengths-based and person-centred practice, with experience managing complex client needs, risk assessment and safety planning. Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build collaborative partnerships across government and community services. Excellent organisational, administrative and reporting skills, with experience using client management systems and ensuring compliance with funding and legislative requirements. A collaborative leadership style with the ability to foster a positive, accountable and supportive team culture. Tertiary qualifications in Human Services (minimum Diploma level) are required, along with a current driver’s licence, Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
