Position Details Reports to: Operations Manager & Senior Winemaker Works Closely With: · Production Supervisor · Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator · Winemaking Team · Sales Team (Domestic & Export) · Finance Team · WHS & QA Officer Position Summary The Production & Materials Planning Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of production scheduling, procurement, inventory management, bottling, logistics and materials planning to ensure efficient, safe and cost-effective manufacturing operations. The role ensures production schedules are aligned with customer demand, sales forecasts and inventory requirements while maintaining optimum stock levels of raw materials, packaging and finished goods. The position works collaboratively across production, winemaking, warehouse, logistics, finance and sales teams while ensuring compliance with WHS, Food Safety, Quality Assurance, sustainability and regulatory requirements. The role is responsible for maintaining Bills of Materials (BOM), work orders and ERP data while driving continuous improvement across planning, procurement and supply chain operations. I. Production Planning & Scheduling · Develop and maintain production schedules. · Generate daily, weekly and monthly production plans. · Coordinate production activities across departments. · Create and manage work orders and Bills of Materials (BOMs). · Monitor production progress and adjust schedules. · Participate in production planning meetings. II. Procurement & Supplier Management · Procure raw materials, packaging, dry goods and operational supplies. · Forecast purchasing requirements. · Work collaboratively with management in negotiating pricing and supplier agreements. · Manage supplier relationships and performance. · Manage procurement risks. III. Inventory & Materials Management · Maintain optimum inventory levels. · Monitor inventory accuracy and warehouse operations. · Manage ERP inventory transactions. · Support stocktakes and reconciliations. · IV. Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination · Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics. · Support domestic and export production requirements. · Liaise with Warehouse & Logistics teams. V. ERP Systems & Reporting · Maintain accurate ERP data. · Prepare production and inventory reports. · Analyse production performance. · Ensure data integrity. VI. Continuous Improvement · Drive process improvements across production, procurement and inventory. · Support operational excellence initiatives. VII. Compliance & Safety · Ensure compliance with WHS, HACCP, Food Safety, QA, Sustainability and labelling requirements. · Support audits and maintain documentation. VIII. Communication & Collaboration · Communicate production schedules and changes. · Liaise with Operations, Production, Winemaking, Warehouse, Logistics, Finance and Sales. · Escalate production or supply issues. Skills & Experience · Production planning experience in manufacturing, food, beverage or wine. · Procurement and supplier management. · Inventory management. · ERP/MRP systems experience. · Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills. Qualifications · Experience with MRP systems. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems. · Relevant qualification in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations or related discipline (desirable).
