We are recruiting on behalf of a purpose‑driven organisation supporting Indigenous participants through Workforce Australia services. Your mission is simple but powerful: connect local employers with job‑ready candidates and create sustainable employment outcomes across the Central West region. The Position As the Business Development Manager, you will be the key link between employers and a large caseload of jobseekers (approx. 1,100 participants supported across Employment Consultants). You will champion inclusive hiring, identify job opportunities, and drive monthly placement targets. This role blends employer engagement, business development, and community impact. You will promote a free recruitment service to local employers, build strong partnerships, and create employment pathways that change lives. Key Responsibilities Build strong, meaningful relationships with employers across Orange, Dubbo & Bathurst Build effective relationships with localised support services in the community (for example Drug & Alcohol and debt management etc) Identify employment opportunities through proactive business development and reverse marketing Promote a free recruitment service to local employers and support them to fill vacancies Work closely with Employment Consultants to identify suitable jobseekers from a large caseload Achieve 10 sustainable placements per month Create employment pathways tailored to Indigenous participants Represent the organisation at employer visits, community events, expos, and job fairs Deliver job readiness support where required (interview preparation, workplace expectations) Manage wage subsidy agreements and maintain accurate employer and participant records Promote cultural awareness and inclusive communication in all interactions Travel regularly across Orange, Dubbo & Bathurst using the company vehicle What’s in it for You?
