Trainer/Assessor Community, Employment and Workforce Development Programs About Civil Safety; Civil Safety is a successful Registered Training Organisation (RTO) for the Mining, Civil Construction, Construction, Oil & Gas, and Primary Industries. We offer an extensive range of courses and a variety of learning methods including face-to-face, blended learning, 100% online, and online refreshers. About the Role; Our Cairns region is looking for someone to deliver high-quality vocational education and training programs that support individuals, communities, and industry to achieve employment, skill development, and workforce outcomes. Build positive relationships with students, schools, community organisations to support successful training and employment pathways Key Responsibilities Deliver nationally recognised training and assessment in accordance with training package and regulatory requirements. Facilitate engaging classroom, workplace, and community-based training programs. Assess student competency and maintain accurate training and assessment records. Provide mentoring, guidance, and support to learners from diverse backgrounds. Assist participants to identify and achieve education, training, and employment goals. Support pre-employment, employment readiness, and post-placement mentoring activities. Participate in community engagement activities, information sessions, and industry networking events. Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of training resources and programs. Ensure compliance with organisational policies, training package requirements, and Standards for RTOs. Promote a positive and culturally safe learning environment that encourages participation and success. Qualifications If you do not currently hold a TAE, but have industry experience , you will have the unique opportunity to further your own professional development by studying towards a nationally recognized TAE (Training and Assessment) qualification. Proven 3 years of experience working in industry in a leadership or training role. Ideally a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or the desire to complete one The ability to work well with others and a proven history of delivering training and assessment in a practical, enthusiastic, and engaging manner. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in using technology and software. Must possess an attitude for quality assurance and safety management and have an eye for detail. Experience in delivering training and assessment to meet Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) standards. A current driver's license and Working with Children check.
