Senior Facilities & Projects Officer role leading maintenance and infrastructure projects across diverse assets supporting regional communities. The Opportunity: An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Facilities & Projects Officer to lead the delivery of maintenance programs and infrastructure projects across a varied asset portfolio. This role will see you managing multiple concurrent projects while ensuring compliance, operational continuity and stakeholder satisfaction. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Planning, coordinating and supervising maintenance contracts and capital/minor works projects to ensure delivery aligns with scope, timelines, budgets and quality standards while minimising disruption to operations Developing asset management plans, including condition assessments, lifecycle strategies and preventative maintenance programs to optimise asset performance and longevity Preparing detailed scopes of work, technical specifications and tender documentation to support procurement and contractor engagement processes Managing project budgets, cost estimates, tender evaluations and contractor payments, ensuring compliance with procurement frameworks and financial controls Conducting regular inspections of facilities and infrastructure, identifying risks, defects and maintenance requirements, and implementing appropriate solutions Leading and coordinating contractors and multidisciplinary teams, including inductions, performance management and compliance with WHS and regulatory standards Providing high-quality reporting, briefings and updates to leadership on project progress, financial performance, risks and compliance outcomes Supporting the development and implementation of asset and maintenance management systems and continuous improvement initiatives Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, consultants and regulatory bodies Your Skills & Experience: Associate Diploma (or higher) in Facilities Management, Project Management or a related discipline, with a trade qualification considered advantageous Minimum 5 years’ experience in facilities management, contract administration and project management within complex asset environments Proven experience managing project portfolios valued at $5M with multiple concurrent projects delivered from inception through to completion Strong knowledge of contract administration, procurement processes, KPI management and contractor performance oversight Sound understanding of relevant legislation, Australian Standards, WHS requirements and building maintenance practices Demonstrated ability to prepare technical documentation, scopes of work and tender packages with a high level of accuracy and detail Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse groups Eligibility to obtain and hold a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) The Offer: Opportunity to work on diverse and meaningful infrastructure projects that directly impact regional communities and industry A senior-level role with autonomy and the ability to influence asset management and project delivery outcomes Supportive team environment with a strong focus on safety, collaboration and continuous improvement Competitive salary package aligned with experience and responsibilities Long-term career development opportunities within a stable and reputable organisation Exposure to complex projects, stakeholder environments and government frameworks, enhancing your professional growth To ensure compliance with Australian employment law, this role is only open to candidates who possess either the right to work in Australia, permanent residency, citizenship status or visa status.
