PROCUREMENT OFFICER SOUTH OF THE RIVER PERMANENT ROLE IMMEDIATE START $80,000 PER ANNUM PLUS SUPER The primary responsibility of this role is to provide the effective procurement of goods and services through the provision of specialist advice on purchasing issues. Responsibilities of Position: Tenders and Quotes Assist with development of tendering and procurement policies, procedures and processes. In consultation with internal customers assist in the preparation of the necessary documentation for Expressions of Interest (EOI), Request for Tender (RFT) and Request for Quotations (RFQ) in accordance with Policies and Procedures. Assist in Maintaining the Tender Register in accordance with regulatory requirements. Assist in the tender opening process in accordance with regulatory requirements. Assist in the preparation of tender and quote packages. Assist in the Advertising of the tender/quotes in accordance with policies and procedures. Assist with the facilitation of the panel evaluations as per policies and procedures. Assist in notifications of the outcomes as per policies and procedures. Assist in the coordination of the distribution, signing and return of all relevant documentation. Ensure relevant documents are registered in the Electronic Document Management System. Procurement and Purchasing Review requisitions to ensure compliance with policy and legislation. Assist in the coordination of new suppliers. Assist in ensuring the currency of procurement documentation including policies, procedures and training aides. Work effectively and cooperatively with the TechnologyOne project team and stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes. Assist in monitoring of supplier purchasing for compliance and release purchase orders as required. Assist in educating Officers to increase awareness and to ensure compliance to the purchasing policies and procedures. Maintain and support the development of all documentation in relation to procurement processes, contracts and policies within the procurement discipline. Assist in monthly expenditure monitoring for compliance with Tender thresholds by supplier and/or goods and services. Assist in quarterly compliance check of invoices to contracts. Contracts Assist in the preparing contract documentation in accordance to Australian Standards. Assist in monitoring the progress of contracts. Assist in the maintenance of the Contract Register and provide relevant information to internal stakeholders regarding the current status of contracts. Customer Service Provide excellent customer service and ensuring that a professional manner is maintained with internal and external customers at all times. Developing and maintaining close working relationships with internal and external contacts as appropriate. Support a "can do" culture of quality customer service in the organisation. Essential Criteria Experience in procurement and contract management. Experience in the preparation and review of terms and conditions, specifications, negotiation and management of tenders and supply contracts. Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills, with ability to build strong relationships. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills and computer skills with demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite. Demonstrated integrity and commitment to ethical decision making.
