We are seeking a professional and personable Medical Receptionist to join our established specialist medical practice located on the CBD fringe. This is a permanent part-time opportunity working closely with a Specialist and Practice Manager in a small, supportive team environment. Our long-standing staff member is leaving for personal reasons, creating an opportunity for the right person to become an integral part of the practice. About the Role Reporting to the Practice Manager, your responsibilities will include: Managing incoming telephone enquiries Booking and coordinating patient appointments Liaising with patients and healthcare providers Coordinating operating theatre lists Processing invoices, quotations, EFTPOS and HICAPS transactions General reception and administrative duties Maintaining accurate patient records Occasional travel to the Adelaide Hills (approximately 30 minutes from the practice) as required About Us We are a specialist medical practice providing care to adult patients, with an approximately 50:50 mix of public and private work. About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: Previous experience in a medical, dental, surgical or allied health reception role Experience with Genie software (highly regarded) Experience using other medical practice software will also be considered Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organisational and time management abilities A professional, calm and friendly manner The ability to work independently and as part of a small team The right cultural fit is important.
