About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead the delivery of tax compliance and advisory services across a diverse client portfolio. This is a senior technical and client leadership role combining tax compliance, advisory, client ownership, business development, and short-term team oversight responsibilities. You will take full ownership of client engagements with minimal Partner supervision, develop new business opportunities, and provide operational leadership to the KL team where required. Key ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of individual, corporate, trust, and partnership tax clients, delivering end-to-end compliance and advisory servicesReview and finalise tax returns, BAS, FBT, and other statutory lodgements in line with ATO requirementsProvide complex tax advisory services including structuring, CGT, Division 7A, GST, and business restructuringTake full ownership of client relationships, including meetings, advisory discussions, and ongoing service deliveryIdentify and develop new business opportunities within existing and new client relationshipsProvide short-term operational oversight of the KL team, including workflow allocation, review, and escalation managementReview work prepared by accountants and senior accountants and provide technical guidance and mentoringContribute to process improvements and support internal efficiency and quality initiatives Key RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCA/CPA qualified (or equivalent)5 years’ experience in Australian public practiceStrong technical expertise in income tax, CGT, GST, Division 7A, and corporate taxExperience reviewing tax work and mentoring staffExperience managing client portfolios independentlyExposure to advisory and structuring workStrong client-facing and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple deadlines and competing prioritiesCommercial mindset with interest in business developmentStrong leadership and stakeholder management capability What We OfferHigh-growth firm with strong career development opportunitiesSignificant exposure to client ownership and advisory workLeadership responsibility across local and offshore teamsOpportunity to contribute to business development and firm growthBroad and diverse client base across multiple industriesStrong focus on both technical and commercial development Working RightsApplicants must have full Australian working rights.
