24th June, 2026 Data Science Senior Specialist 6 Month Contract Melbourne $1,000 - $1,050 p/d The Opportunity A leading Australian technology company is looking for a Data Science Senior Specialist to join a high-priority applied ML initiative focused on customer and commercial outcomes. What your day-to-day will include: Building predictive models on customer and transactional data, including churn, propensity, CLV, uplift, and recommendation systems Productionising models into batch pipelines, APIs, campaign systems, or other real-world environments beyond the notebook stage Owning models through live usage, including monitoring, drift detection, and iterative improvement Designing and interpreting measurement frameworks such as holdout groups, A/B tests, and lift analysis to quantify business impact Collaborating with product, marketing, and business stakeholders to communicate trade-offs and outcomes clearly What you'll bring: Hands-on experience building ML models on customer, behavioural, or tabular data A track record of taking models to production, not just prototyping Strong measurement discipline across model performance and business impact metrics Understanding of commerce or loyalty domains including customer lifecycle, campaigns, offers, or growth mechanics Ability to work cross-functionally and explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders
