About the Role We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Restaurant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing front-of-house operations, supervising staff, maintaining exceptional customer service standards, and ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of the business. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with strong leadership skills, sound operational knowledge, and experience working in Indian cuisine restaurants or similar dining establishments. Key Responsibilities Organise and control the daily operations of the restaurant. Plan and coordinate restaurant services to ensure a high-quality dining experience. Collaborate with chefs regarding menu planning, promotions, and special events. Manage restaurant budgets, pricing strategies, and cost-control measures. Monitor stock levels and coordinate purchasing of food, beverages, and supplies. Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, and financial transactions. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate restaurant staff. Prepare staff rosters and manage workforce requirements. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, workplace health and safety requirements, and relevant licensing obligations. Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally. Monitor service standards and implement improvements where required. Plan and coordinate catering services, special functions, and events. Skills and Experience To be successful in this role, you should possess: A minimum of three years relevant experience as a Restaurant Manager, Food and Beverage Manager, or in a comparable hospitality management role. An AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. Demonstrated experience managing restaurant operations within an Indian cuisine restaurant or similar hospitality environment. Strong leadership, team management, and staff development skills. Excellent customer service and communication abilities. Sound financial management, budgeting, and cost-control skills. Knowledge of food safety standards, workplace health and safety requirements, and restaurant compliance obligations. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain high service standards. Preferred Attributes Knowledge of Indian cuisine, ingredients, traditional dishes, and dining culture.
