Front of House Manager / Receptionist – Full-time We are seeking a well presented & experienced Front of House manager in a Full-time role. Verandah House Country Estate, is a luxury accommodation located high atop the picturesque Tamborine Mountain. Our highly rated five-star hotel is seeking a dynamic and well-presented person, who is driven to maintain our high standard in customer service. We are a boutique hotel of 8 suites, as a family business and a small team of staff, we together work collaboratively in a friendly team environment. We offer our guests a range of guest services - activities, elopements, exclusive use group bookings, spa treatments, themed occasions i.e Xmas in July, Rodeo, Mother’s Day, Wellness retreats. We are seeking a person with prior experience in five star hotels and possess and understanding of the luxury market and exceeding guest expectations, highly experienced in adminstration roles. To be successful, candidates MUST possess: Minimum 2 yrs experience in similar role As our hotel ambassador, you will be responsible for delivering a high level of customer service and ensuring all guest expectations are exceeded. Provide a courteous, professional, efficient, and intuitive service, leveraging your superior local and hotel knowledge to create unforgettable memories for our guests and visitors. Professional presentation & friendly personality, willingness to engage with guests Ensuring efficient check-in and check-out processes, payments are processed Daily Reports Be reliable & self-motivated Exceptional customer service skills & a focus and commitment to delivering high standards of service Strong computer & administration skills Previous working knowledge of RMS or other booking platforms, OTAs Booking.com & Expedia Knowledge of Xero ( not essential but a bonus ) Ability to supervise housekeeping operations Strong organisation skills and implementing systems and procedures Current drivers’ licence and reliable vehicle essential Current RSA Australian residency for tax purposes Only candidates with valid Australian working rights will be considered for this position, as we are unable to offer sponsorship at this time. Duties will include: Record keeping, payments, admin duties: check in & check out guests Front office tasks, using RMS and our soon new system Mews, online booking systems: Expedia, Booking.com Checking guests in and out – guest services Assist with Managing rates, Guest enquiries, Packages, Spa bookings, Guest reviews, OTA promotions. Weekly Occupancy Reports and Sales Event Co - ordination, efficient organisation, ensuring time lines and payments are made, vendors booked, guest liaisons. Ordering linen and stock Ensuring highest standard of cleanliness and housekeeping ( you will be req to inspect suites are pristine, prior to guest checkins ) Management of housekeeping staff/rostering Ordering of hotel stock Required to work Saturdays, Weekends & Public Holidays on a fair roster rotation.
