Responsibilities Provide legal services as a children’s representative in child protection hearings. Handle family law or child support matters and represent clients in family dispute resolution proceedings. When accredited, senior lawyers may undertake ICT or ICL matters and act as an advocate in contested and uncontested interlocutory hearings and instruct trials in the Youth and Family Court. Qualifications LSC2: Hold an unrestricted Category C Practising Certificate or be eligible to apply for one. Admitted practitioner of the Supreme Court of South Australia and the High Court of Australia. Minimum of 2 years post‑admission experience. Experience in legal practice, research, correspondence, court documentation, and the justice system. Excellent client‑relationship skills, providing high‑quality, concise advice with skill and diligence. LSC3: Hold an unrestricted Category C Practising Certificate or be eligible to apply for one. Admitted practitioner of the Supreme Court of South Australia and the High Court of Australia. Minimum of five (5) years post‑admission experience. File management, time recording, and costing experience in private or public legal practice. Thorough knowledge of family law, care and protection law, practice rules, and evidence law as applied in South Australian courts and the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. Salary Range LSC2: $90,080 – $101,620 per annum pro rata plus 12% superannuation and leave loading. LSC3: $115,959 – $126,492 per annum pro rata plus 12% superannuation and leave loading. Not‑for‑profit structure allows salary‑sacrifice arrangements, including up to $15,900 pre‑tax per Fringe Benefit Tax year for general living expenses.
