Our client is seeking an accomplished Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to join their executive leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping the commercial strategy, capital markets engagement, and long-term growth of a publicly listed resources business with operations across Australia and Papua New Guinea. Reporting directly to the CEO, CFO and Strategic Advisor, this is a high-impact executive position responsible for providing commercial leadership, strategic decision support, investor engagement, and Board-level advisory services across the business. This role will suit an experienced commercial executive with a strong background in mining, resources, investment banking, corporate development, or corporate strategy who thrives in a fast-paced environment where commercial judgement and stakeholder engagement are critical. Key Responsibilities Strategic & Commercial Leadership Act as a trusted commercial advisor to the CEO, Board and executive leadership team. Lead commercial evaluations of growth opportunities, partnerships, joint ventures, restructures and capital initiatives. Provide commercial challenge and strategic insight across operational and corporate decisions. Support the development and ongoing refinement of the company's strategic plan. Capital Markets & Investor Relations Lead engagement with institutional investors, brokers, analysts and corporate advisers. Prepare and deliver investor presentations, market updates and analyst materials. Support capital raising activities, debt funding initiatives and strategic transactions. Maintain peer benchmarking, market intelligence and shareholder analytics. Partner with the CFO and finance team to provide commercial oversight of budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning processes. Develop and maintain sophisticated cash flow and capital models. Conduct scenario modelling and stress testing across commodity, funding and growth assumptions. Present commercial insights and recommendations to executive leadership and the Board. Board & Executive Reporting Prepare Board papers, investment cases and strategic decision-support materials. Deliver high-quality commercial analysis capable of standing up to investor and due diligence scrutiny. Establish meaningful commercial KPIs and performance reporting frameworks. About You Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline. CA, CFA, MBA or similar postgraduate qualification highly regarded. 12 years' experience across corporate development, investment banking, equities research, corporate strategy or senior commercial leadership roles. Strong resources sector experience, ideally within mining, exploration or development environments. Demonstrated exposure to ASX-listed companies, capital raisings, corporate transactions or restructuring activities. Existing relationships across institutional investors, analysts, brokers and corporate advisers. Exceptional financial modelling, commercial analysis and strategic planning capability.
